Ok, we now have the results for our electric bill after a full month of changes we made to our power consumption. We mentioned some changes in an earlier posting called, “Tightening The Belt”, that we had made in order to help us save money for our global trip. Many people we spoke with thought this was nuts and would only result in saving a few dollars and not worth the hassle. Well… our bill dropped $78 from last
month and when compared to the same time period last year, it dropped by $55. However, last year during this time period we were out of country bike touring leaving our daughter the only one home. So for you nah sayers, you may want to rethink unplugging all those unused devices and bumping your AC up a notch!
