We started using GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Backpacker cookware over 12 months ago and steadily for the past 5 months while on the road.  This review is more of a follow up to our original write-up from July '12 (1st review). Over the course of 12 months, we have cooked probably over 200 meals and the cookware is holding up very well.
It was almost dark when we finally found a campground; however, after discovering they wanted nearly $40 just to spend the night, we decided to ride back down the road where we noticed a lot of folks in motor homes (RVs), camping trailers, cars and semi-trucks sleeping in a rest area just off the highway. This is not going to be a topic about whether or not you should tour with drops bars, butterfly (trekking) bars, or flat bars. We are not trying to stir up the old and never ending debates on which handlebar is better for touring over the other, we’ll leave this for the bike tourists sitting at home. We have toured using all three mentioned above and each has their pros and cons.

Although Jekyll Island was not a planned stop, we are very pleased that we did. After 5 long days of riding, we took a rest day and took full advantage of it by relaxing and sightseeing this beautiful island. Jekyll Island has some very interesting history, so if you ever get a chance to visit, do it!
